Meet Betsy!
Hi, I’m Betsy, a curly hair specialist and certified trichologist based in West Des Moines, Iowa, and the founder of Hairapy.
I’ve been behind the chair since 2002 and specialize in customized curly haircuts designed for your unique texture, density, and lifestyle. After years of advanced training and curl certifications, I created a private studio where curls are understood, supported, and celebrated.
At Hairapy, you’ll receive more than a haircut. You’ll leave with clarity, confidence, and a routine that actually works.
When I’m not in the salon, you’ll find me with my family, baking something sweet, or hanging out with my French Bulldog, Alfie.

• Includes: Consultation, dry curly cut, cleanse, treatment, & styling

Get to Know You:
We will talk about your past, present, and future hair goals to ensure we create a sustainable plan you absolutely love.
Custom Treatments:
You'll receive both a detox and deep conditioning treatment to get rid of any pesky silicones or buildup and restore your hair.
Styling Lesson:
We all need a bit of guidance sometimes! We will go over potential ways to make your styling routine both efficient and effective for you.
